At Spring Smiles, we view oral health as an essential part of whole-body health and function. Our approach to care is conservative, gentle, and guided by early identification of oral health concerns—allowing us to address risks before they develop into more complex issues. We partner closely with our patients through education, prevention, and thoughtful treatment planning, empowering individuals and families to make informed decisions about their oral health. By supporting healthy habits and providing care rooted in safety and biocompatibility, we aim to promote long-term wellness—not just short-term results. We believe that a healthy smile supports confidence, comfort, and overall quality of life, and we are committed to delivering care that reflects that belief.
For more than a decade, Dr. Gabriel Duncan has been dedicated to building Spring Smiles into a practice centered on thoughtful, biologically informed dental care. His introduction to holistic and integrative dentistry began while he was still in dental school, where he attended his first IAOMT meeting prior to graduating from the UNC Chapel Hill School of Dentistry in 2012.
Dr. Duncan spent the first seven years of his career developing comprehensive clinical expertise across all areas of dentistry before founding Spring Smiles in 2019 as a practice focused on whole-body health, biocompatibility, and patient safety.
He has earned a Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry (FAGD)—a distinction held by fewer than 6% of dentists nationwide—reflecting his commitment to advanced education and clinical excellence. Dr. Duncan is also IAOMT-accredited, demonstrating advanced training in biological dentistry and evidence-based protocols designed to support systemic health.
Dr. Duncan remains actively involved with the International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology, regularly participating in continuing education and contributing in leadership roles. He is recognized for his experience with SMART-certified safe amalgam removal, providing this service to patients locally and from across the country.
In addition, Dr. Duncan maintains ongoing education through Spear Education, is a member of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, and is an Invisalign provider. His clinical philosophy emphasizes conservative care, early intervention, and building long-term trust through transparency and education.
Dr. Duncan invites patients to experience a form of dentistry that is intentional, patient-centered, and grounded in whole-body health.
